Scooting into another Spring in Kangirsuk

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

aaa2.jpg click here to see more pictures. A sure sign of spring, the scooters start racing back and forth between northern side and Coop side. A dog gave birth to six puppies. Play volleyball, spring fever, melting snow, goose hunting, go out hunting and fishing while the ice still lasts.

Alien Shoppers

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

aaaa3.jpg click here to see more pictures. Here’s another silly story that really doesn’t make a lot of sense. I’m more interested in doing artwork than in fussing over a narrative. These poor space aliens ran into a misunderstanding at the shopping mall. Hopefully next time they visit earth, their experience will be more positive.

Surrender

aaaa1.jpg click here to see more pictures. Surrender, let go, I won’t be rehired next year because they say I’m not a qualified teacher, even though I have two masters degrees and six years experience. Oh well, some things you can’t change. Time to move on. I’ll be flying back to Montreal on June 30. If anyone needs a photographer, graphic artist, writer or teacher, let me know.

Samsara

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

aaaa.jpg click here to see more pictures. There’s a perfume called Samsara. I looked up the word. It means the cycle of life and death, people running around trying to be happy. Some people make it and become rich and famous, others end up frustrated. Some try to escape into a dream, while others end up wandering without purpose, like spilled milk flowing all over the place. There’s a lot of jealousy, ignorance, anger, too much for a few pictures. I’ll have to make more.
