click here to see more pictures. Monday morning, Tommy Kudluk, instructor for the Land Survival Program, took a group of students to Post Lake and taught them about winter survival. Wednesday it warmed up a bit in the afternoon.

click here to see more pictures. A lot of activity happened on Friday. Charles Zhang turned forty-one. The annual Inuit games were once again organized by Dave Lane. Thanks to the many teachers who helped make this event a success. In the afternoon, at the end of the games, the pink and red valentine march happened.

click here to see more photos. Thursday nights music teacher Dave Lane hosts music night at Sautjuit School. People from the community are welcome to play good old time rock and roll. This is the first year that Kangirsuk has had a music program, thanks to the effort of Steven Roberge. The program has proven to be a popular success.

click here to see more pictures. January 2009 is over and will never happen again. Now it’s February 1, a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow is ground hog day. Alexander attends kindergarten, where he’s learning Inuktitut and other things.
